Ian has been standing up for a few weeks now, so long as he can hold
onto a trusty ottoman or other piece of furniture. But this morning
Ian did something brave. Something that made his sisters and me get into
an excited tizzy. He let go of the ottoman, not once, but TWICE, and
stood on his own! This is by far the youngest any of my children have
made the first attempts to stand or walk so it looks almost funny to
me to see this little nine-month old standing while bopping up and
down happily. And, as always, it's kind of exciting! And, as always,
it kind of tugs at my heart a bit because it means the inevitable is
happening... My baby is growing up!
1 words of wisdom:
Jude is not even close. Ian can teach him some tricks at Christmas. P.S. I still just LOVE Ian's name. Every time I talk about him or write his name I get a little flip flop of excitement in my heart -- what a great name for such a great baby! He's IAN!
